I wrote in a candidate for president--Romney--and I don't see a record of a vote for Romney. Why not?

This is in regard to the Lancaster County Jail Bond issue. If the people of Lancaster county voted down tagging the price of jail on to our property taxes over a 26 year period, how can they just come back and do it anyway over a 10 year period. This does not make sense. And instead of building an entire new facility that they don't know how they are going to staff or have money to staff, why don't the just look at expanding LCC. There is plenty of room to add on out there. It does not appear that all options have been addressed or that the peoples voice of they want really matters.

you folks are great about letting people express their opinions so easily. I was able to post a comment under the story on Scott Kleeb's victory. If Republicans don't see it, I'll summarize. I think Chuck Hagel is a fine Senator and very brave in many ways. I think Johanns is a nice guy and probably willing to work in a bi-partisan way on some issues, like agriculture, that I care about. I am impressed with Scott Kleeb -- he sounds like one of the best prepared Democratic candidates for Senate anywhere (with his history background, and farm life). If Obama is elected President, I hope he will offer Hagel the position of National Security Adviser, and also find a good spot in the Administration for whoever loses the Nebraska Senate race. I don't think either man is a loser in any sense, and I think Nebraska will be the winner . I urge people to read Chuck Hagel's new book. I watch C-SPAN -- he is so intelligent and reasonable .

Without offending ANYONE who has a different opinion, please think before casting your vote. I do not like all the politic "slamming" that goes on during pre-election, but do you want someone to run your country and be in charge of making decisions that will affect your MORAL, financial, and spiritual life who has out-and-out lied again and again about events in their life (having to run from sniper fire for one example when it never happened), and whose "significant other" was impeached because of his acts signifying extremely low moral character (and he WILL still have a "say" in the decisions Hillary makes)? I live in Pennsylvania, and moved here from Boston 16 years ago. Coming from a state where there was alot of job opportunity, to live in a state where people make 1/3 the wages of the city, and work so hard for the money they make has shown me how important honor, moral character, and integrity is in my life. Vote for the candidate you feel will be honest and upright.

Nebraska is one of the highest taxed states in the union. We were told that our sales tax on cars, wheel taxes are to go for our roads. Where are those monies? Who's special interest are those now funding? Shouldn't we be able to have an accounting of OUR taxes that we pay and where they go?

It's time for change I've had enough of the Bush's and the Clinton's. i like what Obama has to say about what needs to be done.
