At about 6:30 Monday night, 29-year-old Jose Zepada-Rodriguez failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of 15th and Wheeler. The driver of another vehicle, Rogelio Orozco, became upset and followed Zepada-Rodriguez to his trailer home.

Falldorf said Zepada-Rodriguez and Orozco got into a verbal argument, and Orozco was pushed to the ground.

Zepada-Rodriguez then went into his trailer home and came back out with a 9-millimeter handgun.

Police say he pointed the gun at a passenger in the other vehicle while he was calling 911.

Police say Zepada-Rodriguez then fired a shot in the air, but not in the direction of anyone, when he heard police sirens. He then ran back into the trailer.

When police arrived, they asked Zepada-Rodriguez to put the gun down and put his hands on the sill of an open window. He did, and he was pulled out of the window and taken into custody without resistance.

A search of Zepada-Rodriguez's trailer home found the handgun that was fired, and one other handgun, which was also a 9 millimeter, as well as a pound of meth.

His 8-year-old nephew was in the car and was also inside the trailer home during the incident. He was taken into foster care.

Zepada-Rodriguez faces charges of using a weapon to commit a felony, child abuse and making terroristic threats.

Falldorf said police also called the INS, and was told that Zepada-Rodriguez is in the U.S. illegally.

....and wome wonder why AG Bruning refuses to get involved with illegals. Do these same people suggest that the person who is charged with the crimes in the story get representation- of ANY kind? Not with MY tax dollar, no way.
