One person is dead and three others hospitalized in a two vehicle accident in Butler county.

Authorities say the crash occurred just before six last night when a minivan driven by 22 year old Justin Haase of Alvo and a SUV driven by 49 year old Betty Anderson of David City collided in the middle of an intersection in rising city.

Haase was pronounced dead at the scene. Anderson was flown to an Omaha hospital. She had two passengers, a 15 year old boy and an 11 year old boy, both were taken to a hospital in David City.
The accident is still under investigation.
