Two shoplifters are caught after a short struggle with a store employee.

Lincoln police say an employee from the Sun Mart, at 1340 W. O St., saw two males trying to put bottles of liquor in their pants around 11 p.m. Wednesday.

When the two males saw the employee, police say they both grabbed bottles of liquor and made a run for the door.

The employee caught one shoplifter on his way out. They struggled over a bottle of Tanqueray, breaking the bottle on the ground.

Eventually both shoplifters escaped, but a Lincoln police officer and his K9 showed up shortly after and caught them.

The 17 and 18-year-old men were cited for theft, MIP, disturbing the peace and trespassing.
