Monday evening, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a suspicious package at the Bank of Doniphan, located at 2nd and Plum.
Deputies arrived and found a small black bag on top of the night depository by the main entrance. They were unable to determine what it was, so they secured the area and called in the Nebraska State Bomb Squad.
The bomb squad arrived with their robot and determined the package was not an explosive nearly three hours after the initial call.
It turns out, the package was a nebulizer -- a machine used to medicate children with asthma-- that had been left behind be three children skateboarding in the area the night before.
