A Plattsmouth teen was life flighted after a one-vehicle crash Sunday evening near 12th Street approximately 1/3 of a mile South of Mill Road, according to Cass County Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann.

A citizen that lives near the accident scene contacted authorities, he said.

Nineteen-year-old Jonathan Montoya of Plattsmouth, Neb. was driving southbound when he drove off the roadway to the right side, went through a ditch, rolled over and ended up in a farm field.

Montoya was the only occupant in the vehicle and was transported by Murray rescue to their station where the Life Net helicopter transported Montoya to the University Medical Center in Omaha.

The accident is still under investigation by the Cass County Sheriff's Office.
