Gabriel Carson

A man who wounded two bystanders in a Grand Island bar after a drug buy went sour has pleaded no contest.

Authorities say 31-year-old Gabriel Carson of Doniphan faces sentencing June 26 on charges of attempted first-degree murder and using a gun to commit a felony. As part of a plea deal, prosecutors dismissed two counts of second-degree assault and two more weapons charges.

Officers say Carson and a friend had gone to the bar on Jan. 25 to buy some cocaine.

They gave money to a man there, but the man later refused to give them any drugs or return the money.

Carson and his friend left, then returned with a handgun.

Officers say Carson fired twice into the building, giving two bar customers minor leg wounds.

This man should be put away for this. He is dangerous to people if he will come back with a gun after leaving. Plus he should have been charged with a drug offense since he gave somebody money for drugs.
