A Lincoln man is recovering after being stabbed in the upper body nearly ten times early Sunday morning.

Police said the victim was asleep on his couch on Washington Street around 3:20 a.m. when Francis Mesteth came in and stabbed him several times.

Police said Mesteth's father and the victim are roommates.

Police arrested Mesteth on suspicion of second degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
