Some residents in Lincoln had to relocate for the night after a fire started in their apartment complex.

Crews were called to 3920 South 46th Street just before 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Officials say the fire started in the bedroom of this apartment complex. Crews say all 13 people were evacuated.

"We got everybody out. That was our main goal when we first got here, being this time of morning and this big of an apartment building. There were six apartments in this building, so we made sure everybody was accounted for and right now seems as though everybody is doing fine," said Scott Bastin, Acting Battalion Chief.

Authorities say the Red Cross was on the scene to help residents find a place to stay for the night.

The total amount of damage and the cause of the fire is still unknown.

The fire caused $10,000 worth of structural damage and $20,000 in damage to contents, according to Pat Borer, Lincoln Fire Department.

This is a photo of the fire taken by a viewer on his camera phone.
