Mid-Plains Community College is seeking bids for a student-built house.
An open house was held last night for the structure at the college's North Platte campus.
The three-bedroom, two-bath home has been built from the ground up by students. That includes electrical wiring, plumbing and all the conveniences a new home brings.
College spokesman Chuck Salestrom says the process starts in August when new building construction students hit the door.
The minimum bid for the house is $90,000. It must be placed by the June 5th deadline.
The home is built to be moved to a buyer's lot. Similar homes have been made and sold by the college for more than 40 years.
Last year's house sold for $107,000.
