The town of Cozad is under a State of Emergency.

Cozad's Mayor says he declaring a State of Emergency in the town.

He says they've seen 8-11 inches of rain, and more than half of the town is affected by floods.

Until futher notice, anyone caught driving around the barricades will be ticketed.

The Mayor is also asking for water conservation..he says the Water Waste Treatment Plant is trying to keep up with the demands. However, he says conservation will help.

A temporary Command Center has been set up in Cozad, if you have any questions, you can call 308-784-3907.
