Emergency management officials are touring Nebraska today to survey damage from last week's storms.
Al Berndt is the assistant director of the Nebraska Emergency Management Agency. He's flying around the state with a Federal emergency Management Agency coordinator.
They'll assess damages in McCook, Lexington, Kearney, Columbus, Schuyler and the Gage County area.
Cleanup continues in Platte Center and Schuyler.
More than 250 homes and buildings in Schuyler were damaged, mostly by flood waters. The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services is sending a team to help test water safety in private wells.
In Platte Center, public buildings and two local parks were damaged. Nearly 50 homes also had some damage.
