Lincoln police say road rage led a 50-year-old Lincoln man to hurl an ax at another motorist's car, injuring the other driver.

Officers arrested Tango Crenshaw on suspicion of assault, vandalism and weapons count.

Officers say Crenshaw was driving a motor home Friday afternoon when he a 39-year-old driver nearly collided.

Police say the two exchanged profanities before the 39-year-old driver got out of his car and confronted Crenshaw.

Police say Crenshaw then produced an ax. The 39-year-old retreated to his car and was pulling away when witnesses say Crenshaw threw the ax at the car. The ax went threw an open window, hitting the driver with the blunt side in his ribs.

An officer drove up just after it happened. By that time, the officer said Crenshaw had a pulled out a shovel.
