A fire in the abandoned building formerly used as a Naval Reserve Center is being ruled arson.

According to Lincoln police, it happened Wednesday afternoon just before 4:30 at 1625 North 10th St. Police say witnesses saw three boys running from the building around the time the fire was discovered.

Firefighters put it out a short time later and inspectors found a lighter and matches inside the building. They say the fire started in two different places.

The city owns the building and plans to tear it down.
