The Oriental Trading Company in Omaha wants to collect the best ideas to make the world more fun.

And the person who submits the best idea will receive $10,000 cash. The Omaha-based company will also provide $10,000 in cash and products to help make the idea a reality.

CEO Sam Taylor says he hopes schools, church groups and other organizations will submit ideas.

Contestants must submit an essay of no more than 250 words online at www.orientaltrading.com to enter the contest.

The contest ends July 10th.

One idea to make the world more fun would be to emphasize and support local goods. Obviously that wouldn't fly with the Oriental Trading Company, however.
