A North Platte man already on probation for taking a teenager to Kansas against her will has been arrested again for assaulting the same woman.
This time, police say 23-year-old Jordan Vigil has been charged with third-degree assault and robbery. A Lincoln County judge set his bail at $250,000.
But the judge said Vigil will not be released from jail because he previously violated his probation by contacting the teen.
Authorities say Vigil took Vanessa Vaught's purse at a party on June 29 and threw her to the ground when she tried to retrieve it. Her purse was later found in her driveway, missing $20, her driver's license and Social Security card.
Vigil was sentenced last year and placed on probation after attacking Vaught in 2006, when she was 16, and forcing her to ride with him to Kansas.
