Lincoln police are searching for several suspects they say attempted to steal a car and fired several gunshots.

Police say around 5:30 Thursday morning, in the area of 21st and Garfield, two to three men attempted to steal a car.

Police say the owner of the car confronted the suspects. The suspects then fired three shots.

Police say the only description they have is two to three black males last seen running away from the vehicle.
