A man nearly drowned when his lawnmower tipped over, pinning him underneath in a small pond.

Lincoln police say a 52-year-old man was mowing at an apartment complex near 22nd and Pine Lake Road Thursday around 11:00 a.m. when the accident happened.

According to police, the man was trapped under water for several minutes before coworkers could perform CPR on him.

The man, who works for a private contractor, was taken to BryanLGH West. His condition is unknown.
