Attorneys for a Nebraska state trooper fired for joining a group with ties to the Ku Klux Klan have another chance to argue that he should still be on the force.

In March, the state Supreme Court listened to their arguments and those from state attorneys who say Robert Henderson should have been fired. The high court then said it wanted more information before making a decision.

This time, the lawyers will focus on four key questions related to courts' oversight of arbitration decisions. The hearing is September 3rd.

Henderson was dismissed in early 2006 after patrol officials discovered he had joined a racist group and posted messages on its Web site.

Henderson, who was a trooper for 18 years, told an investigator he joined the Knights Party in June 2004 to vent his frustrations about his separation with his wife, who left him for a Hispanic man.

I agree with you Fred! Keep in mind he must be a racist because Trooper Henderson is white and joined a white only group! It's funny that it does not work both way in the fact that there are color people joining colored only groups but they are not assumed that that they are racists too. Let me make this clear before everyone jumps all over me. I do not in anyway approve of the history of this group or believe in what they stand for. The point still remains that equality is not equal for all!

He should still be on the force. Many people feel the same way, yet do not belong to the organization. He has the right to freedom of speech under the constitution, by being in the organization he is using his free speech. Atleast he is honest about his views, many think the same way, yet to be politically correct lie about it.
