Seven men were arrested this weekend for soliciting prostitution during another Project Safe Neighborhood campaign -- and one was a state trooper.

Officers performed the sting between 3:15 Friday afternoon and 1:40 a.m. Saturday.

Roger Allington, Daniel Varga and Jerry Stanton were cited and released. Stanton was arrested for the same crime in July.

Ricardo Casco, Pablo Chavez, Alex Garden and Kerry Rogers of Omaha were all arrested for solicitation of prostitution, a misdemeanor, and lodged in jail.

Police say all seven men offered money for various sex acts.

Rogers is a state trooper with the traffic services division and has been placed on leave pending investigation of the arrest.
