A Lancaster County business is repairing their fleet of vehicles after a spree of catalytic converter thefts.

Sheriff Terry Wagner said thieves stole the converters off of six different delivery vans at Sunwest Farms at 4851 N. 84th St.

The suspects hit the business sometime between 5 p.m. Wednesday and 3:40 Thursday morning.

Wagner said thieves steal catalytic converters to sell the platinum inside to scrap metal businesses.

Lincoln police have seen a recent increase in similar converter thefts with four reports in August.
