Dive teams have joined the search for a 14-year-old girl reported missing at Calamus Reservoir in north-central Nebraska.

Emergency management officials say the girl from Battle Creek was reported missing in the water Sunday afternoon near the Homestead Knolls Campground at the southeast end of the reservoir. Her name has not been released.

The nearby boat ramp and shoreline west of it were closed because of the search.

Divers searched until dark Sunday night and began anew at dawn Monday.

So sad to hear of this tragedy, we haven't heard how this happened, was it a swimming or boating accident? we were at the lake this week end, the wind was terrible, we could not even get on the lake! our prayers go out to the family.

I am originally from Norfolk and I know the family and the missing girl. I just wanted to say what a loss this will be if she is not found. She will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
