A rural Crete couple had an unexpected visitor Monday after an intoxicated woman walked into their home.

Sheriff Terry Wagner said 25-year-old Jori Waln of Lincoln walked into Harold and Margaret Meinke's home near 110th and Stage Coach Road at 4:15 pm Monday afternoon. She told Margaret she was going to go to sleep, but the couple told her she didn't live there and Waln left.

Instead of using the roads, Wagner said she drove through two acres of milo, damaging the crop.

She was eventually stopped in the 5800 block of Highway 33 and arrested for driving while intoxicated and criminal mischief.
