A rural Boelus man accused of sexually assaulting woman many times over the past 10 years has pleaded not guilty.
Lawrence Millspaugh enter the plea to two counts of first-degree sexual assault and a weapons charge on Friday in Sherman County District Court. If convicted, the 60-year-old faces up to 50 years in prison on each count.
County Attorney Mark Eurek says the 18-year-old woman reported being sexually abused by Millspaugh since she was 8.
According to court records, Millspaugh threatened the girl with a gun on July 18 and had previously threaten to kill himself when she tried to end the alleged abuse.
Millspaugh is being held in the Valley County Jail.
Court records show he has a 1976 conviction for sexual assault of a minor.
