Nebraska's three Republican U.S. House representatives have voted against a $700 billion emergency rescue for the nation's financial system.
First District Congressman Jeff Fortenberry says Americans should not be forced "to foot the bill for the financial industrialists of Wall Street who created this problem for Main Street."
Second District Congressman Lee Terry of Omaha says the bailout is not a decision to be made quickly.
He says "I truly believe there are other options, including using the private market, that should be thoughtfully considered by Congress."
Third District Congressman Adrian Smith says "nationalizing every bad mortgage in America ... is not the answer."
