Authorities have arrested a man they say went on a multi-state crime spree.

Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner said authorities can tie three vehicle thefts to Joseph Stoltenberg.

Wagner said he believes Stoltenberg stole a boom truck from 9th and O in Lincoln sometime on the night of September 4th. That truck was found rolled in a field near Lindsay Nebraska on the 13th. Wagner said Platte County authorities reported a 2001 Dakota truck was stolen near that field. Seward Police say that truck showed up in a surveillance video during a theft at Walmart they believe Stoltenberg was behind.

Wagner says the 2001 Dakota was eventually found badly damaged near Roca where he believes Stoltenberg stole a 2007 Ford pickup.

Several days later Wagner said Platte County Missouri officials reported chasing that vehicle through the their county. It wrecked several cruisers during that chase and got away.

Then on September 24th the Sheriff in Lincoln County Montana found the 2007 Ford near Libby and arrested Stoltenberg on local charges. Wagner says there is a warrant out for the vehicle thefts and Stoltenberg will eventually be brought back to Nebraska on those charges.
