Democrat presidential candidate Barack Obama's campaign is opening a second office in Omaha.
Obama's Nebraska campaign announced Friday that the new location would be in north Omaha. The first office opened near midtown on Sept. 10. The office will open Wednesday.
State campaign director John Berge says staff at the new office would come from its existing pool of 15 paid employees and campaign volunteers.
Obama's campaign manager, David Plouffe, has said the campaign will pursue the electoral vote tied to Nebraska's 2nd Congressional District, which includes Omaha. Nebraska is one of only two states that can split its electoral votes.
Berge says Obama is not expected to visit Nebraska before the Nov. 4 election.
Campaign spokeswoman Erin Fitzgerald says that as of today, there are no plans for Obama to visit Nebraska before the Nov. 4 election.
