A Tecumseh man was sentenced on Monday to 7-15 years in prison for manufacturing child pornography. 36-year-old Rodney Colson II, was convicted of taking 50 sexually explicit photographs of a 13-year-old child.

Johnson County Attorney Julie Smith Hogancamp said the investigation began in March 2008. The Tecumseh Police Department received a report that Colson had enticed a 13-year-old child into manufacturing child pornography. Colson was arrested on April 7 and then rearrested on April 15, following continued investigation by both the Tecumseh Police Department and the Nebraska State Patrol.

The investigation revealed that Colson had threatened to harm the child or the child's family and that Colson personally photographed the child.

Colson will be eligible for parole in 3 1/2 years.
