The tumbling price of crude oil has turned into a price break at the pump.

The Lundberg Survey released this weekend shows the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular has gone down by 35 cents over the past two weeks. It's now $3.31. Mid-grade was $3.45 as of Friday and premium was $3.57.

The cheapest gas is in Wichita, Kansas, at $2.79 for a gallon of regular. Honolulu is the most expensive at $3.91.

The Lundberg Survey averages prices from 5,000 gas stations around the country.

The price of crude last week dropped below $78 a barrel, reflecting investor pessimism.

Dan you the man.Poor old George Bush isn't getting his record oil profits like the last year. When he's finally gone(can't wait) he might have to file for unemployment benefits due to the gas prices.

Hm...wow, right before elections...gas prices are falling faster than Bush's approval rating. Because nobody predicted this would happen...*cough* I did *cough* But lets praise the republican party now because of this miracle and vote John McBush for president!

It is very interesting that food, shipping, garbage service, etc, all increased as the price of fuel and farm commodities increased. Now that both have dropped considerably why haven't these enities lowered their prices. Good question.

our govermont wants to drill more oil wells off shore. why not let those with oil wells in production now, open all their pumps to capacity. I know of one person has 5 wells a d they let him pump out of the weakest one only, one day a week. It does not take a college educated person what is wrong here. Those in DC BETTER GO BACK TO SCHOOL, AND QUIT FILLING THEIR POCKETS. ONE MAN HAS TRIED TO BUILD A REFINERY, BUT EVERY TIME HE GETS STARTED,SOME OFFICIALS FIND A NEW EXCUSE WITH THE REGULATIONS EVEN THOUGH HE HAS ALL THE PREVIOUS BUILDING RULES IN ORDER. lt takes common sense and not some dummies.
