Two arrest warrants have been issued in connection with the death of a Hastings man.

Hastings Police have completed an investigation looking into the death of 41-year-old Craig Lee Buck of Hastings.

Buck died the evening of Aug. 16. An autopsy on his body was conducted in Omaha and that revealed that Buck had died due to internal injuries stemming from a confrontation the day before.

In connection with that confrontation, Hastings Police have issued warrants for Christopher Lickteig, 26, and Aaron Ranger, 32, both from York.

Lickteig and Ranger were involved in a confrontation with Buck Tuesday evening at a residence in the 1000 block of West "H" Street in Hastings. At the scene, Lickteig and Ranger were issued citations for misdemeanor third degree assault. At the time, Buck showed no signs of trauma. No other details of the confrontation were immediately available.

Since Buck's death, Lickteig and Ranger have been charged with manslaughter, a class three felony, which is punishable with up to 20 years in prison and/or a $25,000 fine.
