Larry the Cable Guy joined the likes of Johnny Carson, Dick Cavett and Nebraska football legends Bob Devaney and Tom Osborne Friday night.

The Nebraska native became the latest face on the Omaha Press Club's barroom floor -- a sort of hall of fame for newsmakers who impact the community.

His real name is Dan Whitney, a 44-year-old Pawnee City native and comedian known for his self-professed redneck comedy.

Whitney's family moved from a Pawnee City pig farm to West Palm Beach, Florida, when he was 16.
