A house in Lincoln sustained significant damage in a fire early Sunday morning.
Lincoln Fire and Rescue were called to the house at 2218 Dudley Street at 12:30 a.m. Sunday and arrived four minutes later.
They said the fire was mainly on the east side of the house on the second floor. Officials said the house had several additions to it which can mkae it harder to fight fires, but doesn't always.
Six people were inside the house at the time of the fire, but they were able to get out, according to authorities. Firefighters said the fire alarms were working and alerted the residents to the fire. They also evacuated the home immediately east of the burning home because of the nature of the flames.
They are continuing their investigation of the cause of the fire.
