Authorities say no one was seriously injured when a cattle truck crashed into a house full of people this past weekend.

The truck was carrying 90 head of cattle when the driver failed to negotiate a curve.

The truck overturned about 4:30 Saturday morning in Neligh, and slid into a house occupied by Bobbie Haskins, Leanne Cole and several children.

The cattle escaped from the trailer after the crash. No one in the house was injured, and the truck driver suffered only cuts and bruises.

The semi, trailer and the house were considered total losses.

The state really needs to control speeders on Hwy 275 semi trucks regularly roll into town at 10 - 30 MPH over the speed limit. This accident showed that their is REAL danger in this lack of control. As Hwy 275 is made 4 lane ever closer to Neligh, the traffic will only increase and so will the danger. Children cross this road to go to school. The next incident may cost more than a house, a semi, an ambulance, a SUV and some cattle. Their was more to this story than what 10/11 came up with.
