A fire broke out in the bathroom of a home in north Lincoln.

Fire officials say the woman who lives at this home near 64th and Judson called her daughter about the fire. Her daughter then called 911.

The fire was contained to the bathroom, but the woman had to be transported to Saint Elizabeth for possible smoke inhalation injuries.

Fire crews were called back later, when neighbors saw smoke coming from the attic. When crews arrived they say they found insulation they had missed that had been smoldering all day.

"We wet down what we think could possibly rekindle, but we also want to minimize water damage. There is a fine line on making sure the fire is absolutely out and not causing more damage than necessary," said Lincoln Fire Captain Michael Moss

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
