A Lincoln man has pleaded guilty to third-degree sexual assault for a relationship he had with a teenage girl.

In exchange for Paul Hendrickson's plea Tuesday, a charge of first-degree sexual assault was thrown out. He faces up to one year in jail.

Authorities say the 28-year-old had a number of sexual encounters with the girl between December 2006 and October. The relationship reportedly started when she was 14.

Hendrickson's sentencing is scheduled for July 8 in Lancaster County District Court.
