Hall County emergency operators are now able to trace 911 calls made from cell phones.

Before a recent upgrade, the 911 system could only give exact locations for landline phones.

The county worked with cell providers on its new system so it can get specific global positioning coordinates from cell phones.

Dispatchers can now pinpoint the location of cell phone calls within a matter of feet.

Hall County estimates 70 percent of its 911 calls come from cell phones.
