The 24th Annual Cornhusker State Games kicked-off Friday evening, with the annual Torch Lighting Ceremony.

This year's mystery torch lighter was Phoenix Suns basketball player and former husker, Eric Piatkowski.

Piatkowski led the Huskers to four straight NCAA national tournament appearances.

Motorcyclist Tommi Ahvala also partook in the festivities, and performed aerial and balance maneuvers atop a mechanical mountain.

The ever-popular skydivers from the Lincoln Sport Parachute Club dropped in to close out the ceremonies.

More than 11,000 Nebraskans will participate in this year's games.
