A woman arrested in February on suspicion of being drunk while driving a state ward to Lincoln has been sentenced to two years probation and at least a few days in jail.
A Sarpy County Judge sentenced Denise Thomson Thursday for attempted negligent child abuse and driving under the influence.
When Thomson was arrested, the 25-year-old woman's blood-alcohol level tested at five times the legal limit for driving.
Thomson had worked for Beneficial Behavior Health in Omaha, which had a transportation contract with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.
Thomson will spend at least seven days in jail, but she could spend 90 days there if she is not admitted to an alcohol treatment program.
