A former Dundy County deputy sheriff has pleaded guilty to charges that he bought beer for a 20-year-old woman.

Attorney General Jon Bruning said 26-year-old Kristopher Rinne was off duty in November when he bought the alcohol and drank it with the 20-year-old. He pleaded guilty to attempted procuring of alcohol for a minor.

Rinne was sentenced to 14 days in jail, one year probation, a $750 fine and 20 hours of community service.

He resigned from the Dundy County Sheriff's Department in June.

Ray, What does this have to do with pay? Are you saying if you don't make much money you should be allowed to break the law? If the law officers break the law why would the people follow the law them. Was he trying to get the 20 year old girl drunk to take advantage of her?

Oh my! It is unfortunate that an under paid young man must live in a bubble. Yes he was wrong but if you expect law enforcement officers to live in a bubble and be perfect then pay them a decent wage. I would be willing to bet the young man made less that 25K. May be now he is better off.
