A Valley man has been sentenced to one year in jail for his role in a 2007 crash that claimed the life of an Omaha girl.

Jeffrey Clinton was sentenced Thursday to the maximum penalty for a misdemeanor charge of motor vehicle homicide. He was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine.

Investigators have said that on November 3rd, Clinton ran a red light in northwest Omaha and hit a minivan driven by 43-year-old Timothy Wooden of Omaha. Wooden's 12-year-old daughter, Ashley, was killed in the crash.
