A road rage incident that injured seven people lands a Lincoln man in jail for seven months.

Zachariah Degarmo pleaded no contest in August to felony child abuse and willful reckless driving.

The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office said Degarmo's Chevy Suburban and Cynthia Mendoza's Pontiac Grand Prix were side by side driving in an "erratic and aggressive manner" on U.S. Highway 6 near Waverly when they collided.

Degarmo's Suburban was carrying five children and a woman. It went off the road and rolled. All seven were injured.

Mendoza was alone in her car. The 41-year-old Lincoln woman was arrested on suspicion of fleeing the scene and is set for bench trial in December.
