A 12-year-old Omaha boy accused in the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy has been charged with manslaughter in juvenile court.

Douglas County prosecutors filed the charge Wednesday.

The attorney for the 12-year-old boy, James Martin Davis, has said the shooting was an accident and had called for his client's case to be heard in juvenile court.

Police believe the 12-year-old boy fired the gun that killed 15-year-old Anthony Ray on Saturday.

Another 15-year-old boy has been charged as an accessory in the case.
