Omaha's Holiday Lights festival will close a downtown street on this Thanksgiving Day.

From 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., 14th Street from Douglas to Farnam streets will close.

Crews have been hanging hundreds of thousands of lights in the trees of Gene Leahy Mall in downtown Omaha for the lights festival.

A lighting ceremony will be held tonight at 6:00 p.m., when Omaha Mayor Mike Fahey will flip the switch to turn on all the lights.

The lights will stay on through Jan. 4. Those going to see the lights will also be able to ice skate at ConAgra Foods' skating rink starting Dec. 13 through the 31st.
