The Clemson Tigers are headed to the Gator Bowl and Nebraska looks like it's opponent.

Clemson officials accepted a Gator Bowl invitation during a 3 p.m. central time press conference. Tiger head coach Dabo Swinney said it will be an honor to play against Nebraska, indicating the Huskers will face Clemson January 1st.

Due to a Big 12 rule, Nebraska can not officially accept an invitation until after Saturday's conference title game.

Nevertheless, some Nebraska coaches and players commented on the potential matchup. Click on the video link to hear what they say about the Tigers.

Should be a good matchup of two teams who finished the season strong... i would much preferred to see my 'Noles take on the 'Skers, but the Tigers are probably a better matchup...

I'm kind of surprised that the gator bowl picked clemson at 6 and 5. I think Nebraska will win this game pretty easily and I think a match up against FSU would have been 20 times better and also more enjoyable for both the fans and players with the semi rivalry we have with them from the 90's. Oh well...at least Bo will get 9 wins this season!
