A Georgia-based packaging and crate company has ceased its operations in Beatrice.

Nebraska Department of Labor officials say 19 jobs were lost when North American Containers Corporation closed up shop at the former Husqvarna building.

At one time, the company supplied packaging materials to Husqvarna Turf Care, which made power mowers.

North American Containers is based in Marietta, Georgia.
