The mother of Robert Hawkins, the 19-year-old gunman who shot and killed eight people and himself at an Omaha shopping mall, will appear this week on the syndicated talk show "Dr. Phil."

The episode featuring Molly Hawkins is scheduled to air Wednesday, January 7.

According to the show's Web site, the episode titled "Omaha Mall Shooting: A Mother's Guilt" will also include interviews with Debora Maruca-Kovac, who had taken the teen into her home, and Jeff Schaffart, one of the survivors of the Westroads Mall shooting.

Robert Hawkins entered the mall's Von Maur department store on December 5, 2007, armed with an assault-style rifle. He fatally shot eight people and wounded several others before turning the gun on himself.
