One attraction at the Nebraska State Fair is drawing in huge crowds of animal lovers.

Great Cat Adventures hosts four educational shows each day. The show doesn't feature burning rings or silly pet tricks. The goal of their show is to educate and inform people on issues affecting endangered lions and tigers.

The organization rescues animals that have been abused and neglected.

"We've gone in to rescue animals and they're chained to a stake or tree and haven't eaten in days and sometimes weeks and its a pretty sad sight and it'll break your heart to see it," said Eric Drogosch of Great Animal Adventures.

He said he enjoys giving the injured animals a second chance at life.

"Its very rewarding once you take that animal and nurse them back to health, see that they forgive you as a person for doing that to them because they have feelings and emotions too, just like any other animal, like your cat and dog at home," said Drogosch.

In an effort to fund their large animal refuge in Texas, the organization tours the country with their educational shows and photos.

It is a self contained exhibit that allows the animals to play in large tented enclosures.
