Tim Johnson wasn't on the Saltdogs bench for a doubleheader on Tuesday night.
In fact, it's uncertain when Johnson will return to the team.
Johnson is taking a leave of absence to tend to an undisclosed medical issue. The Saltdogs skipper is in his fifth year with the team, and this in fact is his second leave of absence.
During his time in Lincoln, the Saltdogs have won the half-season title twice, however they have been unable to reach the league championship series.
While Johnson is away from the team, pitching coach Jim Haller will take over the managerial duties.
