There's a first time for everything.
But head coach Mike Sherman isn't a first in the coaching carousel.
Sherman, who is the first year coach with the Aggies, served from 1989 to 1993, and 1995-1996 as the offensive line coach for Texas A&M.
Prior to coming to College Station, Sherman spent two seasons with the Houston Texans, prior to that, he spent 6 seasons in Green Bay as the head man of the Packers.
Texas A&M finished the 2007 season with a 7-6 record finishing 4-4 in the Big 12 Conference. The Aggies are picked to finish 5th in the Big 12 South.
The Aggies begin the 2008 season against Arkansas State, and then have a non-conference matchup with the Hurricanes of Miami.
Texas A&M will begin the conference slate on October 4 when they play in Stillwater, facing the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
