Nebraska football player Andy Christensen has been ordered to serve at least three weeks in jail for criminal mischief and resisting arrest.

Lancaster County District Court Judge John Colborn on Friday ruled that Christensen's sentence would begin Dec. 20, so the senior could finish the fall semester.

Colborn also ordered the Christensen to serve 15 months' probation, followed by another 30 days in jail that could be waived.

In September, a Lancaster County District Court jury found Christensen not guilty of first-degree sexual assault. He had been accused of reaching under a 23-year-old woman's skirt and molesting her at a Lincoln bar in March.

Christensen pleaded guilty to two misdemeanors stemming from the case -- resisting arrest and criminal mischief.
